Brisbane’s Brookstone shoe market is a growing, and growing fast, and the store is selling its last pair of shoes for the third time in five months.
The retailer said the shoes were a big hit at its store and online sales, and that the sales figures were down from the previous year.
The shoes are not new, as the store has had a large number of them for a while.
But they have been popular with customers and in the past the pair have gone for up to $800.
Brookstone is not alone in its sales slump, as online shoe sellers like ShoesnWear, Felt and Urban Outfitters all posted huge sales declines last year.
But with the number of new pairs of Brookstones shoes available, the retailer is hoping it can keep them in stock and sell them on.
“We are going to be making some adjustments to our stock as we run out of stock,” Brookstone retail manager Tim Paine said.
Brookstone, which is the second-biggest footwear retailer in Queensland after Brookstone’s own Foot Locker, is currently on a two-week buyback program with its new inventory. “
Some people will want to buy more, but we will have a lot of inventory that is not going to get picked up.”

“Our stock has increased dramatically in the last couple of weeks,” Mr Paine explained.
“It’s been quite good, but I think it’s a fair bit of margin we need to cover for the next few months before we start to sell it.”
Brookstones stores are located at: Brookstone Shopping Centre, 936 Nambour St, Brookstone; 2116 Brisbane Highway, Brisbane; and 5400 Queens Rd, Brookstow.
The Brookstone online store will be open at the Brookstone Shop in Brisbane on Monday, November 28 from 10am to 5pm.
